New Blocks

These are the new blocks. I thought the other ones were boring. So that picture of chain sewing down a few is now getting picked out. So much for saving time!!!! It will take longer this way but I'll be much happier with it. The ones I have done with the cream I think I'll put them in the back some how. This is my first applique block, I can't figure out how to rotate it. I'm on piece 12 of 60 on block two.
Have a great day!!!

Their back

My machines are home. They couldn't find anything wrong with them so I guess they just needed a good cleaning.

I have been working on my hand applique quilt and I take it back that my goal is one a week. There are up to 60 little pieces in each block so I think it will be more like a month for each block.

I'm going on a little holiday for the week-end. When I get back it's back to work on my latest project which I have changed my mind on how I'm putting it together. So stay in touch and I'll let you know on Monday.

Have a great week-end

ELNA'S

Very sad day for me in my sewing room tonight. My NEW Elna has not been working well the last couple of days. It has been skipping stitches so I thought well it's getting fixed I'll get my 26 year old Elna out, well it's skipping stitches too but worse then the new one. I have done a lot of sewing on this old one. So I guess they are both going in to get fixed.

I guess I'm forced to work on my hand stitching projects. All true quilters have one of those on the go that sit in the corner for times like this.

So my goals are to pull that project out of the dust tomorrow and get one block a week done. It's a beautiful quilt and I hope this motivates me to get it finished.

Great night at the Olympics, 4 more metals :)

Have a great day!!!!

Hello everyone,

Hope you like the looks of my new page. It has taken me hours to do but I did get to watch Canada win gold in Ice dance at the same time. GO CANADA.

Good night.

I have had a busy two days sewing and watching the Olympics. I was cutting for hours yesterday, about 6 hours, 400 2x2 squares yuk.
Our Canadians have been having a hard time getting the job done to get the gold. It was a very exciting day to be watching the games. I really thought that we would win the hockey game. Miles of chain sewing when the ski cross racing was happening, that was exciting.

Putting the blocks together well watching the hockey and two man bobsled. Five done only 20 more to go. Have a great Monday everyone.

Hope everyone is enjoying the Olympics. Last nights gold medal from the Manitoba, John, was GREAT.

I have been having a hard time deciding what to work on next. I was going to finish my mystery quilt that I started about 2 years ago but decided not to because I don't like it. My workmanship in it was not very good and I don't think I like the fabric anymore. SO I started cutting out my peach fabrics that I bought in Vegas. It's just a lap size so won't take to long. I have been doing very well with not going to the quilting store.

GO CANADA

Is everyone enjoying the Olympics. I love the winter Olympics. I was suppose to curl tonight but the other team defaulted so I get to watch the gold medal ceremony now, SO HAPPY.
I'm on a 8 day stretch at work so haven't had time to get into my sewing room to decide what to work on next. I work evenings tomorrow so maybe I can get a few hours to play in there before work.
